Glendale Adventist is proud to offer “Write to Heal,” a free, artistic workshop for cancer patients, led by Patricia Varga, founder of A Woman with Wings and the Write to Heal program. The classes use writing, art, music and meditation to tap into the participant’s creativity as they track each patient’s journey with cancer.
The workshops teach patients how to cope with the challenges and changes a cancer diagnosis often brings. Participants keep a journal so that they can reflect on their life, wishes and dreams as well as face their fears. Writing generates positive energy, helping cancer patients better cope with their diagnosis.
Write to Heal classes are held on:
- The 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month (noon to 2 PM)
Glendale Adventist Medical Center
381 Merrill Avenue - Board Room
Glendale, CA 91206
Next class dates will be held on October 14 and 28 and on November 11 and 25. For additional information on the “Write to Heal” program, call (818) 409-8218.
