The speech therapy department at Glendale Adventist Medical Center provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for adults with speech, language, cognition or swallowing disorders.
For children that need special assistance to develop communication, swallowing or sucking skills, specially trained pediatric speech therapists are available to help.
GAMC speech therapists are trained in the most current techniques and treatment approaches. After a comprehensive evaluation to determine the extent of a patient's impairment, our highly trained speech therapists design specific programs to address each patient's individual needs.
Services include therapy for:
- Receptive language
- Expressive language
- Speech production
- Reading comprehension
- Written language skills
- Cognition (attention, memory, problem solving and executive functioning)
- Voice (vocal fold paralysis, vocal abuse, decreased projection) (Learn more about voice therapy)
