A Revolution in Technology
Glendale Adventist Medical Center is proud to offer some of the most advanced imaging technology in the region, including the most modern equipment available for:
- MRI
- CT Scans
- Nuclear imaging
CT Scans
CT scanners are marvelous machines, allowing physicians to peer into the inner workings of the human body without making a single cut. However, patients were often uncomfortable in older-style CT scanners because of the time it took to produce the scan, the requirement to hold their breath during certain procedures, and other inconveniences.
Revolutionary new scanners--such as the Toshiba Aquilion Premium CT scanner at Glendale Adventist Medical Center - eliminate many of the problems of older style scanners. This state of the art technology makes examinations faster, safer and more clinically beneficial than ever for patients at GAMC. The scanner incorporates Toshiba’s latest technologies to significantly reduce patient exposure dose by up to 40% while optimizing resolution in the same amount of time.
With its enhanced DICOM connectivity, the Toshiba Aquilion Premium CT scanner can transfer up to 1,200 images in just 20 seconds – that’s up to 10 times faster than some other systems.
Nuclear Imaging
The Outpatient Cardiac Imaging Center, equipped with the latest in nuclear cardiology technology and computer-aided tomography (CAT) scanning capability, can provide patients with accurate assessments of their risk for heart disease with simple, non-invasive tests.
