Orthopedic rehabilitation continues the process toward healing and recovery that begins with surgery. Highly skilled and certified rehabilitation professionals work closely with our orthopedic surgeons to design a personalized program that gets patients back to the activities they love most as quickly as possible.
Whether it's playing tennis, taking part in vigorous sporting pursuits or simply walking up stairs, we work with each patient to meet his or her goals. The rehabilitation team in Glendale Adventist's Rehabilitative Medicine Services Department guides patients toward a return to mobility, flexibility, strength and stamina.
Therapy sessions may include stretching exercises, a workout on advanced rehabilitation equipment, a visit to the therapeutic pool and/or a wide variety of other activities.
For Our Inpatients
Following discharge from the hospital, patients receive a home visit and subsequent follow-up by a therapist and social worker, who will evaluate the home environment and social support network and make suggestions regarding modifications that can make the home safer and more convenient as recovery continues.
