 We talked to parents and parents-to-be about what they wanted to see in a maternity care facility. The result is two floors of spacious patient rooms and supportive services, all housed in the secure environment of the hospital's Maternity Center. Some amenities include:
Comfortable, High-tech Rooms
We offer 30 spacious, private patient rooms, each featuring attractive furnishings, hardwood floors and large bathrooms. Our high-tech maternity/delivery beds convert for maximum comfort during each stage of the birthing and postpartum process. There are also special amenities for baby and dad to stay in this spacious room with a view.
Couplet Care
Mom and baby have nurses who are highly professional and qualified and will answer questions and help with tips on caring for a newborn.
On-site C-section Facilities
Conveniently located in the Maternity Center, these surgical suites and a recovery room are reserved specifically for C-sections.
You and Your Baby
When it comes time to have the baby, we're there with one of the most advanced birthing centers in the area, featuring a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, single-room birthing and more.
Anesthesiology
An anesthesiologist is on site and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help ensure that our patients have the most comfortable birthing experience possible.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
In operation since 1976, this 14-bed Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the most experienced NICU in Glendale. Our staff of physicians and nurse specialists provide round-the-clock care for babies who are born prematurely and/or those with special medical needs.
High-risk Pregnancy Care
While most pregnancies progress without any significant challenges, there are times when women require special medical care. Glendale Adventist is ready with inpatient and outpatient perinatal high-risk services for women with complicated pregnancies.
Infant Security
Our top priority is the safety and security of you and your baby. Here are the security measures we follow in the Maternity Center:
- After delivery, a security tag is placed on your baby. Our security system will set off an alarm if anyone attempts to take an infant out of the area.
- In addition, bands with matching numbers are placed on you and your baby.
- If your baby is in a stable medical condition, he or she will stay right with you, always in your view.
- All staff will introduce themselves as they take responsibility for your care and will always wear their employee ID badge in clear view.

Our services for mothers-to-be start even before birth, with a wide range of education classes that help prepare moms and dads for childbirth and beyond. Classes include:
