Many people with addictions don't recognize when their behavior gets out of hand. This is when an intervention may become necessary. An intervention is a deliberate process of introducing change into a person's thoughts, feelilngs and behaviors by confronting them in a non-threatening way.The overall objective of an intervention is to allow the person to see their self-destructive behavior and how it affects themselves, family and friends.

Studies find that more people enter treatment if their family members or employers confront them with compassion and empathy, are honest with them about their concerns and try to help them see that addiction is preventing them from reaching their goals. GAADS can assist in this intervention process every step of the way.
