GAMC GalaIn the spring, the Healthcare Foundation holds its annual "Reaching New Heights" Gala. This formal affair includes dinner, a live auction, entertainment and awards presentations.

Each year the committee selects persons to receive the Erwin J. Remboldt Founder's Award for outstanding individual philanthropy, the Georgia Abelmann Award for outstanding contributions to our community, the Frank F. Dupper Award for outstanding corporate philanthropy and the Spirit of Life Award for physician philanthropy.

The Gala proceeds benefit many different projects. Sponsorships for the event come primarily from board members, physician groups and community organizations. Each sponsorship level includes dinner table reservations, recognition in the evening's program book and additional selected benefits. 500-600 people attend the Gala each year and the net proceeds of the event average $350,000.
