The mission of Glendale Adventist Medical Center (GAMC) ensures that every person who comes through our doors will receive quality care, convenient service and the latest medical technology. For patient Ilona Simon-Muller, this commitment became a matter of personal life and health.

Ilona was transferred to GAMC from another hospital after suffering a stroke. When she arrived, she was paralyzed on the left side of her body and unable to speak. "The fact that I was taken to a stroke center like Glendale Adventist probably made all the difference in the world," said Ilona. Thanks to the comprehensive stroke treatment Ilona received, her speech was restored the same day, and she regained movement to the left side of her body. Today, Ilona has returned to the work she loves as a vocal coach.
Patient success stories like Ilona's make us proud of our mission to promote healing and wellness for the whole person. But celebrating today's accomplishments isn't enough. As our community grows and expands, so does Glendale Adventist Medical Center. This assures that we not only meet today's challenges, but continue to provide compassionate, whole person care for future generations.
GAMC is committed to healthcare at a higher level. We commit our entire staff, dedicate new facilities like our West Tower and deploy state-of-the-art medical technology to provide you with the competent, courteous and compassionate care you would expect from a regional medical center.
As you know, excellent health care doesn't just happen. Government regulations, increasing demand for services from our aging population, and the growing costs of delivering these services make it ever more difficult to provide quality health care. Therefore, we must rely on annual support from individuals, businesses and organizations in the community.
Your annual gift to the Beacon of Health Fund at GAMC will assure that funds are available for necessary equipment, vital services and needed renovations at GAMC. Of course, supporting health care in this way is also a long-term investment in your own health. For patients like Ilona, for you, and for us, it is a matter of life and health!
