Glendale Adventist Medical Center will present 7-year-old La Crescenta resident Gavin Dinger with a specialaward at his Elementary school on Friday, April 8 at 1:30 PM. Dinger suffered a stroke before he was born in his mother's womb and has been the hospital's top fundraiser for the Glendale News Press Downtown Dash. Proceeds from the Dash help to fund stroke awareness projects that benefit the community.
The award is being presented as a surprise to Dinger because of his outstanding support of the Dash 5K Run/Walk. Dinger has raised up to $15,000 in the past 3 years for the Dash.
