Q: Why are you supporting this campaign?

A: Cancer is a disease that touches everyone. We all know someone who has been diagnosed with and fought cancer. We have all seen the impacts, both on those who have been diagnosed and on their families and friends. The struggle to stay strong in the face of cancer is universal, but there is something we can do about it!  Early detection is an important key in fighting back. If detected early, cancer can be stopped and taken into custody!

For many years the Police Department and the community have worked together to keep Glendale safe.  Fighting cancer is just as important as fighting crime, and working together we can make a difference.  Join us in supporting research to prevent cancer, improve treatment, and get closer to a cure.

Q:  What is your personal campaign message/slogan?

A:  "It's time to arrest cancer, lock it up and throw away the key."

Q:  What is your Glendale claim to fame?

A:  I am a 22-year veteran of the Glendale Police Department and currently Captain of the Field Services Division. During my tenure, I have been involved with the Glendale community. I am a member of the Kiwanis Club and have served on numerous non-profit organization boards related to mental health and character and ethics. I have served as a Commissioner representing the City of Glendale on the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority. I have also served as an adjunct faculty member at Glendale Community College. Getting involved with Army of Pink and raising awareness in our community is one more way for us to join together in our common goal of keeping Glendale healthy, happy and safe.

Q:  How long have you lived/worked in Glendale?

A: 22 years!

Q: What is your favorite thing about Glendale?

A: This is a community that works together. The collaborative efforts to maintain Glendale’s sense of community and safety makes our city one of the best places to live and work.

Q: What do you wish people knew about our city?

A: I wish people knew how many hidden gems Glendale has to offer. Our city is so diverse with its various parks, hiking trails, arts and culture, and historical destinations. As an avid hiker and pilot, I have the pleasure of enjoying these experiences and wish more people would seek them out.

Q: What is your favorite Glendale hangout?

A: How can you pick just one? There are so many!
