Treating Heart Disease - Part 1
Gregory Zarian tackles the topic of heart attack along with Dr. Harry Balian, medical director of cardiointerventional procedures at Glendale Adventist. He talks about some of the signs and symptoms a person having a heart attack might experience, and he goes through some of the precedures he uses in the Cardiac Cath lab to help open up blocked arteries in the heart. One of his very own patients, Colonel John, re-tells his personal story of a close encounter with a heart attack.
Treating Heart Disease - Part 2
Susanne Whatley takes a second look at Heart Health including fast treatment for heart attacks, tests to check your heart health and ways to improve it. She is joined by Dr. Lisa Matzer, cardiologist, and Dr. Randall Roberts, cardiothoracic surgeon.
Also joining them is special guest Janice O'Connell, a patient of Dr. Roberts, who shares her story of how she was able to recognize early symptoms and avoid a heart attack. Janice's bypass surgery was so successful, she was able to run a 5K a mere four and a half months after surgery.
