Behavioral Medicine Outpatient Services

Glendale Adventist Medical Center provides behavioral health care services for all people dealing with the symptoms of a mental illness. From high-functioning adults and seniors to the chronically ill, individuals can find professional and compassionate mental health care to meet all their needs.

Our staff of professionals--psychiatrists, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, social workers, RNs and others--work together to ensure that the care provided is personalized and appropriate for the needs of the individual.

After an initial evaluation, our behavioral medicine professionals will recommend the best course of treatment for each candidate:
  • Return to Work--For high-functioning individuals forced out of work or school due to stress-induced symptoms of depression or anxiety.
  • Transitions--For adults 55 years and older who are dealing with issues surrounding retirement, death of family and friends and loss of independence.
  • Chronic Emotional Disorders--For individuals dealing with the symptoms of bipolar disorder or depression and are either transitioning from inpatient hospitalization or are disabled due to their illness.
  • Dual Diagnosis--For individuals diagnosed with a mental illness and a co-occuring addiction, usually to alcohol or drugs. Based on the 12-step model of recovery.
  • Persistent Mental Illness--For individuals dealing with schizophrenia or a related disorder.
