Director of Women's Health
Dr. Julie Howard joins the clinical faculty of the residency program as Director of Women's Health. She graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and from residency training in Austin, Texas. In addition to her residency in Family Medicine, Dr. Howard completed a fellowship in Obstetrics, also in Austin.
Prior to moving to the Glendale area, she had the unique opportunity to work for the Indian Health Service on the Navajo Nation in Arizona for several years. She is happy to be living in an urban area again with all of its cultural diversity. Although she has special interests in Women's Health and Obstetrics, caring for the entire family is why she became a family doctor. Outside of work, Dr. Howard enjoys walks with her husband and their two dogs. She also does yoga and knits to keep herself at peace with the world. Se habla espanol.
