Glendale Adventist Medical Center's patient care tower offers our patients the latest in technology, techniques, comfort and convenience.
Expanded Emergency Department
Nearly double the size of our current Emergency Department, with 33 percent more beds and an expanded registration area, our new ED offers better access and faster service. It is equipped with the latest technology, including a built-in CT scanner and X-ray room to expedite critical diagnostic tests and provide more efficient care.
Patient Rooms Designed for Comfort and Convenience
In addition to higher standards of care for the community, patients in the new tower enjoy special in-room features, including Internet connections, large windows with amazing city and mountain views and day beds for guests.
Sophisticated Acute Care
Patients suffering from acute neurological and cardiac conditions, including stroke and heart attack, receive specialized care in our new neuro and cardiac step-down units.
State-of-the-Art Operating Rooms
New OR suites provide the sophisticated technology to meet today's needs as well as the capabilities to meet the demands of tomorrow. We have added six spacious suites, including two dedicated to cardiovascular surgery and two specially equipped for orthopedic procedures.
These modern suites also feature the Storz System. Using digitally-based endoscopic video cameras and the latest in visual and computer technology, surgical teams can store, move and access critical patient information during and after surgery.
Cutting-Edge Cardiovascular Technology
Our commitment to our patients means that we work hard to acquire the most modern, sophisticated technology available today. The Innova BiPlane Imaging System uses three-dimensional imaging of the vascular system, bone and soft tissue, providing interventional radiologists and cardiologists a distinct advantage in performing image-guided treatments. Patients benefit from fewer X-ray images and contrast injections during the procedure. The BiPlane Imaging System is expected to be available at GAMC in Fall 2007.
Convenient Outpatient Care
At GAMC, we know how important convenient access to care is for busy people. Our upgraded outpatient radiology services offer two MRI machines, two CT scanners and all other radiology modalities conveniently consolidated in one area.
