Our Services

"High-tech and high-touch" is an ideal that all hospitals strive to achieve in the services they offer. Glendale Adventist offers some of the newest and best technology in the Southern California region, yet never wanders far from its mission of delivering care that is personal and compassionate, respecting the privacy and humanity of patients.

Powerful Technology

Determined to be a leader in advanced medical technology, Glendale Adventist constantly strives to procure the latest and most powerful technology to boost the effectiveness of its services, including:
  • State-of-the-art Varian Clinac® 2300 Ex/D Linear Accelerator for treatment of malignant tumors, and a dedicated CT Scanner to improve care and convenience for our cancer patients.
  • State-of-the-art MRIs, offering maximum patient comfort and shorter exam times.
  • Spiral CT scanners, providing ultra-fast, detailed images of the inside of the body.
  • BiPlane angio suite, offering advanced 3D imaging and software processing for advanced neuroendovascular and cardiac electrophysiology, as well as minimally invasive procedures.
  • Off-pump cardiac surgery, an alternative to standard open heart surgery that doesn't require the surgeon to stop the patient's heart.
  • Endoscopic vein harvesting, a surgical technique that spares the long leg incision that normally is necessary in removing the vein used in open heart bypass.
  • ImageChecker, computer software that scrutinizes mammograms for the tiniest signs of cancer.
  • Hyperbaric Center, which offers effective therapy for healing difficult wounds, treating carbon monoxide poisoning and more.

Compassionate Care

Caring for the whole person - body, mind and spirit - is a cornerstone of patient care at Glendale Adventist. The patient care team strongly believes that while advanced technology is important in fighting disease and repairing injury, equally important is the human touch in restoring a person to a state of wholeness.

A few of the ways we care for the whole person:

  • Customer service rounds, conducted by our staff to ensure that patients are receiving the best possible care
  • Chaplain services, provided by the hospital's own staff chaplains, as well as a corps of volunteer and community spiritual leaders from a wide range of religious traditions
  • Support groups, addressing a range of needs, including cancer, stroke and the loss of a loved one
  • Special meal menus, available to make the hospital stay more pleasant for patients from a variety of ethnic backgrounds
