GAMC Presents Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor

Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor is a Harvard-trained and published neuroanatomist who experienced a severe hemorrhage in the left hemisphere of her brain in 1996. She was 37 years old. After her stroke, she could not walk, talk, read, write or recall any of her life. It took eight years for her to fully recover all of her brain function.

Today, Dr. Taylor is the New York Times best-selling author of My Stroke of Insight. She has been featured on Oprah and was chosen as one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2008.

On March 2, 2009, Dr. Taylor will share her life-altering experience at a special speaking engagement brought to you by Glendale Adventist Medical Center. Her story will awe and inspire you, as well as bring hope to those who have suffered from a traumatic brain injury such as stroke.
